On and off, I have been drawing with pastels for nearly 30 years. The first time I used them was while on a 4 month walk up the west coast of Ireland in 1993. They were very easy to carry and use in my travel diary. below are some of my more recent drawings. I love the way pastels allow a sort of mixture of painting and drawing.

During Summer 2023, I managed to get out on some amazing hikes on the Beara penninsula, giving me some great inspiration and photo references
